The new Weybridge splash at Churchfields Recreation Ground openend May 2025 and it’s already a hit. When the sun came out we knew we had to go and check it out.
Unlike traditional water play areas, this play area is designed to be a recirculating splash pad with solar panels, to make it more efficient in terms of water and energy usage.
With vibrant colours, a flat level surface which is great for children of all ages and a secure fencing all around, it’s the perfect place to cool off on a warm sunny day.
There are sprinkler systems throughout where the children can press buttons to activate the water flow. Water guns, sprinkler arches, and a really fun water system where the bucket fills up and then pours out over the children.
As well as the new splash pad the park already has Churchfield playground, paddling pool, four tennis courts, two table tennis tables and a place to play basketball and skateboard.
Churchfields park is just off of Weybridge High Street so only a short walk to grab a coffee from the numerous coffee shops, and enjoy this whilst the children play. Unfortunately there isn’t free car parking but there is a car park directly next to the park so you just walk straight through.
