Snowdrops usually flower from late January through to the end of February depending on the weather. There are some fantastic places to go for a snowdrop walk in Cheshire and the North West of England.
Dunham Massey

Ness Botanic Gardens
The gardens start to come alive in February with early species of bumblebees out foraging on warm days, amongst the carpets of snowdrops. Find out more

Arley Halls & Gardens
The gardens at Arley Hall are open daily 10am-4pm no need to prebook. The snowdrops are making their first appearance at The Grove & Woodland Walk. Sensible footwear is advised as it is muddy in places. Find out more

River Dee Cycle Path
Local mum Carys recommends the Flintshire side of the River Dee cycle path for spotting lots of snowdrops.
Norton Priory
Norton Priory, near Runcorn, usually have snowdrop walks running each year. Details for 2022 still to be confirmed. Find out more. They also have a new scavenger hunt which is a fantastic challenge for children to use while visiting. Print or save the image to your phone before you visit.
Biddulph Grange Gardens
Snowdrops are scattered through the garden and are a welcome sign that spring is on its way. National Trust Biddulph Grange really does have the most extraordinary gardens. You can meander along long, wide paths, tiptoe through dark tunnels, tread carefully over rockery stepping stones, listen to little, trickling streams, and explore one of the largest stumperies in Britain.
