When you were little what did you want to be when you grew up? Well at Frimley Little Street there is so many different roles your little ones will want to try everything.
Every child loves to play make believe and there is no better place for supporting and awakening their imagination than Little Street. The play centre has a variety of themed rooms, scaled down to be the perfect size for little people, and carefully designed and filled with props to offer a creative and educational play experience.
The indoor play town features a beauty salon, café, vets, supermarket, construction site, post office and theatre; there’s even a box office for tickets and ice-creams. Within the road area there are lots of ride on vehicles, including a police car and fire engine, and a large air ambulance helicopter where children can be both pilot and medic. It’s a great alternative to soft play in Surrey!
Each area is decorated amazingly well with realistic decorations, outfits and toys to make everything seem like a smaller version of actual shops and services. The supermarket area was so cute, they had mini versions of literally everything you would find in a real supermarket.
I had great fun with the little ones, there were printed off shopping lists, so we actually did a food shop putting everything in the trolley and then going to the check out tills and bagging up our food.
Noah loves everything to do with singing and dancing, so the stage area with all the music props and dressing up outfits was right up his street. He was dancing on the stage and recreating his favourite scene from the film Sing. In fact he loved the microphone so much that he didn’t put it down for ages and even took it for a ride on the digger.
There is also a small refreshment area where you can purchase a hot or cold beverage, and some much needed snacks after all that playing.
Overall Little Street is incredibly well thought out, a really great place to visit and somewhere we will be going back to regularly. I originally thought that the 1.5hr sessions would be too short but having now visited Little Street I’ve found that the sessions are just right and give a fantastic educational play experience for little ones.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and the whole place is incredibly light and airy. Throughout our session the staff are constantly tidying up and putting the relevant props back into the correct area so making sure everyone gets the same experience of each role play room.
