With the weather being a bit hit and miss lately, we decided to brave the weather and head off to the park.
We came across Kings College Park just on the outside of Guildford, and had a lovely morning here playing. Although this park is set along a busy road (with parking just outside too) it was safely enclosed with fencing so no one can escape.
This park had recently undergone a refurbishment back in the summer, and we were very surprised to see so many unique play equipment for everyone to enjoy.
Inside as you would expect there was the usual play equipment which consisted of baby and toddler swings. These are always a huge hit with my two and there is often arguments about taking it in turns – but here there are two of each. So a massive win win for me.
The main attraction to the playground was a huge castle which had its own climbing wall, a double slide, hidey holes, rope bridge and other interactive play equipment inside the castle itself. Isabella absolutely loved this, and was pretending to be a princess in her castle.
There was also a sit on car, which was great for role playing. Me and Isabella both sat on here and were pretending to go on an adventure. I love that a simple trip to the park can create so many different learning opportunities. The spinning pole and roundabout certainly did make us both feel dizzy but we love these additions to playgrounds.
If your children love climbing and pretending to be spiderman, then this cargo net climbing structure is perfect. It’s like a maze of different ropes which they can climb on, climb under and even down the middle of the structure is a flat path so the children can literally walk across it too. Isabella isn’t afraid of heights and loved it up there.
