Kidabulous indoor soft play centre in Sunbury-on-Thames features a huge 4 storey play frame for kids up to 12 years old that actively encourages adventure and discovery! There’s a 6-metre high spiral slide, plus a 4-lane astra slide to race friends down.
Younger children won’t miss out either, with their very own 2,000 sq. ft. of play on their own, dedicated floor. Toddler Town has its own funfair with mini skelter ride and merry go-round along with swings, slides and lots more. Babies’ aged 1-2 can enjoy soft play that’s built specifically for them with puzzles, rockers, games and fun building blocks.
Also on certain mornings during the week, in Toddler Town included in the price are activities which you can participate in. On Mondays there is Little Groovy Moovers which offer two sessions 10.15am and 11.15am and on Tuesdays there is the Creation Station at 10.00am. On arrival to Kidabolous my first impression was WOW, I honestly didn’t know where to look first. I have never seen a soft play so large – it was literally floor to ceiling of adventure and fun. Isabella was so excited she couldn’t wait to explore, luckily for us as it was during the week it was very quiet so we were told we could explore the older children’s soft play area aswell.
First of all we headed up to Toddler Town, I couldn’t believe that there was a whole floor dedicated to toddlers. This made perfect sense as meant they could explore at their own leisure without the worry of bigger children knocking them over. Toddler Town was very colourful and inviting for the children to come in and explore. Isabella headed straight to the ball pit, and enjoyed going down the halter skelter slide.
Theatre town was set up in different area, for non walking children there was a safe area enclosed which had interactive toys on the wall, soft play shapes for them to explore and climb on and various other toys they could play with. For the older toddlers there was a car wash where they could drive the cosy coupe cars around, and go through the pretend car wash, or maybe they preferred meaning to be a machine on the car. Isabella loved the kitchen, and enjoyed role playing at making dinners and doing some washing. There was also a construction area where soft play shapes replicated the different tools. Another big bonus in this area was the massive slide, where more than one child could slide down at a time, perfect way for the children to enjoy each other’s company.
On the day we visited, Creation Station were there, and we took advantage of the free session (was included in our entry price) and enjoyed a craft session with them. The theme was all things blue and we discussed various items that were blue in colour and then we were able to do something crafts. Isabella loved using the sponges and paints to create blue patterns just like the sea. This was a lovely addition to the soft play morning and a great way to have a little rest in between all the playing.
After our morning in Toddler Town we ventured downstairs to the larger soft play area, but first of all we decided on a little lunch break. From the cafe Isabella chose the children’s lunchbox and I opted for a hot panini, they were both delicious and very reasonably priced – we certainly needed some fuel for our next adventure.
Isabella made a beeline for the slide, although she is quite short she was able to master the soft play stairs and practically raced me to the top. Having four slides side by side it was great, as meant we could slide down together (something we don’t usually get the chance to do) I lost count of how many times we went up and down these. There was also a vertical drop slide but thankfully she wasn’t brave enough for that one, I didn’t fancy following her down there. Hehe.
There were alot of floors to explore with different ways of reaching each one, you could climb the stairs, scale across the cargo nets or crawl through the tunnels. I had great fun in exploring this with her. We even came across an area where you could kick balls around, we decided to just throw these at each other – but again another get addition to the soft play. We did see some go karts on the lower floor (which are an additional charge) but we didn’t explore these.
Honestly there was so much to do here that I could write on forever, but I don’t want to give away all the finer details as would love to leave some for you to experience aswell. This is a great soft play centre for children of all ages, I can’t wait to bring Noah back here so that he can experience it aswell.
