Science Oxford Saturday Science Club | Amazing Animals
4 March, 2023
Celebrate World Wildlife Day at Science Oxford‘s wild science club this weekend. Young ecologists investigate creatures living in the gardens, woodland or urban spaces with fun experiments in the workshop.
Learn about habitats and homes, colour and camouflage, and find the best beak for finding food with our ‘duck designs’ challenge! Then, with playdough, craft and natural materials, make incredible creature creations and give them survival superpowers.
From the strongest to the tiniest, or most adaptable, who has the best chance to thrive in nature’s ecosystem?
Find out more about World Wildlife Day (which takes place the day before the club, on 3rd March). A United Nations International day to celebrate all the world’s wild animals and plants and the contribution that they make to our lives and the health of the planet.
The fun sessions for ages 5-9 are designed to engage children and their families with STEM: science, technology, engineering and maths. Through entertaining demos and hands-on activities, children have a chance to learn, explore, question and investigate different areas of science.
