Millets Pumpkins After Dark Review 2024
We’ve been to the pumpkins by night at Millets Farm for the last couple of years and this year did not disappoint. Located separtely to the daytime pumpkin picking, you’ll find this Halloween experience where the summer maize maze took place.
There’s a great atmosphere as you arrive with spooky music and lots of displays everywhere you look. Mine came dressed up for the experience! We started with the spooky trail.
This year it’s starts with a pathway through the maize maze and you soon come to your first character who sets the scence and story of children going missing in the woods.
These characters are dotted through the trail and really add to the atomsphere. The path winds you back and forth through the woods with glowing lights, spooky displays and the odd surprise along the way. It’s not a scare night so you’ll get a little jump here and there without being terrified. Recommended age is 8+ but I think you could comfortably stretch down to 7.
It’s wonderfully dark with eerie light in the wooden maze and my kids loved finding what was around each corner.
We spend around 20-30 minutes on the Halloween trail and then headed over to the pumpkin patch. There are plenty of wheel barrows and enough light to pick out your pumpkins and prices range by size from £1 to £5+.
What makes this a really great evening is having the live entertainment too. There were roving entertainers on stilts, jugglers, a pumpkin head man. We grabbed some yummy crepes loaded with chocolate and chilled out on the straw bales.
The firedancer was great and the live music too. Very impressed with the musical talent from Little Stars musical theatre and some amazing dancing too. What a night!
