We had our first experience of Giffords Circus last year so knew that last night was going to be a treat. Celebrating 25 years, Giffords isn’t just a circus – it’s a full-blown spectacle. We’re talking jaw-dropping acrobatics, side-splitting slapstick, a live band bringing all the retro vibes, and just enough panto-style pizzazz to keep the kids (and grown-ups) giggling. It’s part musical, part comedy, part “how-on-earth-did-they-do-that?” – and all-round, five-star fun.

The latest show, Laguna Bay, is a full-throttle whirl of glitter, vintage vibes, and gasp-out-loud brilliance. Think West Coast cool meets classic circus charm, with a surf-rock soundtrack that’ll have you shimmying in your seat.

The cast brings their A-game with every leap, flip, and perfectly timed giggle, there’s even an airplane flying overhead, magic and acrobatics. Tweedy was even out on his bike riding around the field at the interval

And YES, circus fans, Tweedy is BACK – and he’s on top form. From slapstick genius to perfectly timed silliness, he had the entire tent – toddlers to grans – absolutely howling. His comic timing is impeccable.

The tent is intimate so everyone is close to the action, the music, singing and showmanship spot on and the laughs keep coming.

Just read back over my Giffords Circus 2025 review and I know I’m gushing but we kind of came back on a bit of a high. The show finishes with the audience mixing with the cast in the ring for a big dance and you just go out on a high. So glad my youngest has an inset day and a lie in the morning!
