Clews Lane park is a large secure play area which has a lot of variety for children of all ages, and the location is perfect as one side is sheltered by trees which provides much needed shade during the warmer days.
There are baby swings, a basket swing and also older swings to play on, musical bars where the children can bang on them and make music. There is a large spiral slide which isn’t for the faint hearted, for smaller children there is a smaller climbing frame with a separate slide and also a little play area underneath which my little boy loves playing role play in.
For the older children there is another climbing frame which has monkey bars to swing across, a higher slide for them to enjoy, a tunnel to climb through and a fireman’s pole to slide down.
There is a rope obstacle course which they can climb on, a variety of hoppers from a motorbike, fire engine and a horse, plus a roundabout too.
What is great is that the park is fully enclosed with a fence all the way around so once inside it is safe for the little ones to run around and explore at their own leisure. So they are able to go off and have a little adventure whilst you can sit on the bench and watch as everything is in sight.
There are benches to sit on and also picnic benches too if you fancy taking a picnic along with you. Inside the park is also a bike rack if you have cycled there so you bike can safely be left whilst your playing.
Parking can be limited though as this is on a residential estate but there is street parking around the area or just outside the park if it’s not too busy.
