Like a scene from Peter Pan, Byfleet Recreation Ground and Play Area has a pirate shipwreck with a grinning crocodile lurking nearby. You can almost hear the tick-tock…
The park is fantastic for the little ones as around the pirate ship there is sand which they can play in, and also water channels which provides endless amounts of fun.
Various climbing apparatus for the children to enjoy and a tree house for the more adventurous of us. For the smaller children there is a separate slide and easy to climb stairs which is nice as the different ages can still play alongside one another but give each other space at the same time.
Set in a large secure play area there is a lot packed into this park, and little ones will be kept entertained in here. It’s the perfect place to explore, play, climb, swing and let themselves free.
There are 2x sets of baby swings and also teenager swings, and an additional basket swing too. This is great as we often find there are que’s for the swings but this park had more then enough for everyone.
Around the play area there are football pitches, a multi-use games area, skateboarding ramps, tennis courts, a basketball court and rugby pitches.
There is also picnic benches and public toilets.
There is a lot of open green space surrounding the park which is ideal if you need your fury friends to come along and enjoy walkies at the same time.
If you fancy a bite to eat or some refreshments then there is a cute little cafe just around the corner which provides a great selection.
Also next to the large playing fields is a free car park which is ideal for the park, and there is a selection of shops in the village which is a 5minute walk away.
