Bourne End Garden Centre is more than just a garden centre. Flowerland is a great place to visit with the family including the kids as there is so much to look around in one place.
Bourne End has an amazing garden centre with so much on offer, it has it all from plants to accessories, pots to furniture and loads to look around inside which is always good for a rainy day outing with the kids, even better if you need to grab a few things to do up your garden or patio area.
You will also find a beautiful florist just inside the garden centre with a great display of flowers if you want the kids to choose a special treat for someone.
What kid doesn’t love to look around a pet shop at all the things either for their own pet or the one they wish to get, the pet shop in Bourne end has so many products including handmade doggie biscuits and treats as well as all the normal brands and accessories you’ll find all you need to keep your pet happy and healthy. If you don’t have a pet in your home then you can always buy a treat for the feathered friends in your garden.
One of the favourite areas for my kids is popping into Maidenhead Aquatics to see all the amazing fish that are swimming around in the tanks, there are so many different types from cold water fancy goldfish to tropical nemo fish and the all the tanks, equipment, plants and food you need to set your own aquarium up at home if you wish.
One shop you might not expect in a garden centre is The Works but its great as you can grab something for the kids from the range of value gifts, arts, crafts, toys, books and stationery. I got them all a packet of stickers on our last trip which only cost me £2 for all four which is a perfect treat and where enjoyed with out breaking the bank but they have something for all budgets.
Outside you have all the outdoor bedding plant, pots, ornaments as well as some lovely furniture on display all the usual items you would expect but its huge so I’m sure what ever you were looking for you would find here,
The Jungle reptiles has to be a stand out areas for us as this isn’t something you will always find in a garden centre but with my kids who like something a bit different this is the place to go. They have some amazing snakes and reptiles and all the equipment and information too. We purchased our very own little corn snake here after recommendations and the staff are nothing but amazing with all the knowledge and guidance you could need, they are happy to answer any questions you or your children have and there is so much to see in this small but amazing area.
The food hall and restaurant are really lovely here with both indoor and outside seating areas, food can be eating on site or taken away for a treat at home. Enjoy a large selection of dried, non perishable food from all around the world. They have everything on offer from sweet treats to savoury nibbles and everything inbetween. They even have Wine, Prosecco, Beer and Liqueurs in many different flavours. Chilled and frozen meals are also available. I’ve tasted the lovely home made sausage rolls and the huge scotch eggs are delicious. Once you see the counter full of tasty items its hard to leave with out trying one.
Lastly at the end they have all the different home wares and even clothes to purchase. They also often have events on the garden centre so I do feel this particular garden centre really does have something for everyone and really has a lot to offer that you could easily spend a few hours walking around with the kids and for them not to get bored as they are all the different areas to explore.
