Spring is such a lovely time of the year, with the long winter nights going, new buds on the trees and best of all, the lambing season. It’s a great experience for kids to visit a farm and delight at meeting these adorable lambs. There are lots of places around Buckinghamshire to meet newborn lambs and at some places you can even bottle feed them.
Here are a selection of the best lambing days around Buckinghamshire and we’ll keep adding more. Some of the farms have lambing everyday and others are just special weekend events. SPOTLIGHT – HOGSHAW FARM & WILDLIFE PARK
Spring on the Farm is back from 5-21 April, and is full of bouncy lambs, new born chicks, and gorgeous goat kids. Come and visit during the Easter hols and experience lamb bottle feeding , holding our hatchlings, and exploring Easter trails around the farm. You might just see the Easter bunny popping up too!
2025 Best Lambing Days around Buckinghamshire
Church Farm (Little Kimble)
Tour the Church Farm lambing barn in Little Kimble – meet the ewes and pet a lamb, hear about they we care for the sheep, and if you’re lucky you might even see a lamb being born! Bottle feeding only available if/when they have any lambs that need supplementary feeding. 1st – 27th April 2025
Lillingstone PYO (near Buckingham)
On select dates in April you can meet the adorable baby lambs as well as lots of great Easter fun for kids.
Watergate Farm (near Leighton Buzzard)
The farm will be open again during the peak Lambing Season this Easter. Visitors can hold the lambs and see a modern sheep farm at work. They will be open for 4 weekends from 29th March through to Easter bank holiday weekend 2025.
Odds Farm Park (Wooburn Common nr High Wycombe)
Fall in love with the lambs at Odds Farm Park during the Easter holidays. They’ll have a Springtime Scavenger Hunt where you can search high and low for a tasty treat, plus a Show Marquee for live shows too.
Mead Open Farm (Billington, nr Leighton Buzzard)
Bottle feeding lambs at Mead Open Farm will be back for the Easter holidays along with a brand new circus themed event.
Greatworth Hall (Greaworth, near Brackley) 15th March
Perfect for all the family, hold a lamb and learn about the lambing process, including what they feed the sheep and how they care for them. Also on the day, there will hopefully be some spring inspired, arty activities.
Rookery Open Farm (Towcester)
