A great play area tucked away in Brookwood Heath, we have found a little gem of a play area. Whether you have young ones who have just started walking, toddlers looking to burn off some energy or slightly older teens then Beech Grove Park playground is perfect. There is even something for the adults to enjoy too.
At the top of the park is the area suitable for the younger children and toddlers, it is safely secured by a gated fence so no escapees. Inside is a brightly coloured low level play structure for the children, in the centre is a slide, a roundabout, swinging seats, sea saw, swings and lots of interactive equipment for them to use and explore. There is also coloured pictures on the ground giving it that extra friendly feeling for a children’s play area.
The next section along the field is what I would call the toddler / primary school aged children. Again safely enclosed by a metal fence the children are safe to explore their surroundings.
Here we have toddler swings, a bouncy bridge, rockers, a little playhouse, and in the middle you always have another climbing frame which has various ways to climb it – will the children choose the climbing wall, the sloping ledge or the good old steps. This part of the park is all set within the grass area.
From here you can easily see the gym equipment which has been installed for people to enjoy at their leisure. On each piece of equipment there are instructions on how to use it correctly, and also a display board showing you the different exercises too. There is a lot of gym equipment here, so you could enjoy a little workout session whilst the children played safely but still under your supervision.
The next part of the playground equipment is all open and to which I think the older children would benefit and enjoy more. There is also some picnic benches and seating area if you did wish to take a picnic with you.
There is a large basket swing, a huge climbing structure which has monkey bars for them to climb across, a climbing rock, an awesome zip wire (which looks like it’s hidden in the bushes but seemed a lot of fun), and also lots of swings all centres together. It has an Amazon-themed tower with multi-play activities – this blends seamlessly into the natural environment of the site and ensures children will love turning ‘explorers’ as they play.
We really enjoyed our time at this park, there was a lot for the children to do and explore. It was basically 3x parks in one and an outside gym too.
A brilliant outside space and something for everyone to enjoy.
