Active Monkeys in Fleet is hidden away down a street where you wouldn’t expect to find a soft play. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I haven’t seen much advertised for this softplay but we wanted to come and explore, and are glad we did.
This is a 3 story playframe, and although it’s not the most up to date soft play we’ve been to, we still had plenty of fun. There is a double slide which is great as means you can slide down with your little ones, there are various soft play blocks to climb under and over. These were the perfect height for Isabella as she could master them all on her own.
A lovely bonus in the softplay which we haven’t seen before was a climbing wall, my little spider girl had great fun climbing the wall and showing me her independence. Being in the soft play itself meant that if she did slip she had a nice soft landing to it.
There were interactive sections in the walls where the children could use their hand and eye coordination to move things across the boards. A zip line ball where Isabella had great fun zooming back and forth on, I’m glad the walls were padded as she did get a lot of speed on these.
Towards the top of the soft play there was a tunnel they could crawl through and a little window to peep out of. Large bouncy balls they could roll over, throw in the air and climb between. Isabella was in her element running around and exploring the playframe, it was easy to see her when she was playing. Plus there was plenty of room for adults to safely be in the soft play aswell. So meant you could also join in on the fun.
In the downstairs area there is a selection of tables and chairs where you can sit and watch the children playing on the lower levels. They also serve a selection of hot and cold refreshments.
When speaking to the owners of Active Monkey’s, they have advised that in the coming weeks they are introducing different classes for children, like messy play, singing and other craft activities too. This will be great as will also give the children a chance for some hands on fun aswell as the soft play.
Although there is no on site parking there is a paid and display car park a few minutes walk away. There is also a large shopping centre nearby if you also fancied doing a bit of shopping too.
